After the success of the first Symposium for Charitable and Affordable Housing held in April 2006, comes the second Symposium in April of this year (2008) reflecting the unlimited interest of His Highness Prince Mohammed Ben Fahd Ben Abdulaziz (the Prince of the Eastern Province) and His Deputy His Highness Prince Jalawi Ben Abdulaziz Ben Musaid to support this significant sector which is a main provider of housing suitable for low income Saudis. The Symposium aims at recruiting the talents of scholars and practitioners with different backgrounds and from various disciplines to present their insights and experiences about “creative solutions in charitable and affordable housing;” solutions which are suitable for and meeting the needs of this significant part of society with the highest levels of efficiency functionally, environmentally, aesthetically, structurally, economically, and socially.

Call for Papers

The Symposium deals with issues which are of interest to and support the efforts of all those who are dealing with the charitable and affordable housing sector including Charitable Societies and other public and private institutions heavily acting to ease the problem. The Symposium will bring together leading research experts, professionals, and vendors to explore and share their knowledge and expertise in different areas of “creative solutions in charitable and affordable housing including the following:
